    Jeep Customer Services

Just wanted to say how impressed I have been with Jeep customer services in Italy. I had a slight issue with a dealer service dept local to me, so I contacted customer services, to be honest thinking I wouldn't get much joy. My complaint was handled by Claire, she has been brilliant, kept updating me even if not much had happened. She phoned last week to see if I had been contacted by the dealer to organise a refund, they hadn't contacted me, she said leave it with her, magically I was then emailed by the dealer quite soon after. Top marks for Claire

...been pretty fed up with my GC

Changed wheel speed sensor, made no difference. Turns out it was probably (hopefully) the bearing/ hub, put a new one on tonight and so far it hasn't thrown any codes. Not great that it has failed after 40k miles, but hopefully sorted now. It was diagnosed by Pentagon in Lincoln, it was in for the brake booster recall and I asked if they could have a quick look, they did and didn't charge for it. Very impressed. When I undid the the hub nut there was no way it 310nm, didn't feel very tight at all. Checked the other side when I had finished, it wasn't very tight either, now correct torque. be unusual if they came loose over a period of time. If anybody else has a WK2 it would be interesting to see if others are the correct torque.

Hopefully it's correct, it's meant to cover a lot of makes and scans 4 systems, ABS, transmission, engine, airabags etc.

Good puddle! Pressured washed it, took wheels off and removed each ABS sensor to see if there was any obvious damage, there wasn't. Then with good old Amazon Prime I had a code reader delivered today. Plugged it in, the left hand front sensor is giving an intermittent signal. So have now ordered one. The ABS light went off this morning on it's own about an hour before the scanner arrived, must have scared it. Wish I'd bought a OBD scanner years ago, it's amazing

WK2 2014 Says on dash there isn't 4wd due to abs, and i can spin the rear wheels
  8. At work today driving round some of our farm tracks, to be fair some were a bit sticky as we've had 35mm rain this week. All was going well then was going along a stone track, went through a puddle, now don't have ABS or 4WD. A car to me with no 4wd is useless, didn't have this issue in 100k miles with a discovery. Is this the start of things to come with a GC?? Any ideas?

Thanks I've fitted a DTUK tuning box. I know it's a bit iffy as to how much power is added as all cars are different. I guess many will say it isn't as good as a full re-map, but I'm not wanting pay many hundreds of pounds to have it set up on a rolling road. The box certainly has made a difference,it is easy to feel, and hasn't blown up yet !! I liked my Disco, did nearly 100k miles in it, I feel the GC is a more comfortable place to sit, more toys as standard, handles better on the road as suspension is firmer, but on the flip side the Disco air suspension is better off road as absorbing bumps and holes, it just seems to react quicker rather than GC. Always loved the 8 speed ZF auto in the Disco, that helped my choice of getting a GC

Evening Bought a Grand Cherokee a few months ago to replace a Discovery 4, really pleased with it so far. It will work for a living as I manage a farm that is spread about a bit across the county. It has been treated to a decent set of tyres rather than the OE rubbish, I've put a tow bar on it and it gained a few hp and Nm yesterday. I have also spray wrapped the chrome lower grille and fog light surrounds. Andrew
