Dog Hair!

Recommended Posts

Rob Wrangler

Hello Everyone,

Just wondered what Dog Owners used to try and protect the fabric of your Jeep?

I've just come back from a weekend away and laid down some throws; tried to be diligent, and still had dog hair on the side fabric in the boot.

Any ideas welcome, stopping short of sticking carpet protector down!

Cheers Rob.

I gave up the fight long ago as I have two labradors but I have found that if you have a pair of gloves like these, then just run them over the area that the dog hairs are and they will remove most of the hairs.

Like Jim I have given up the fight. 2 Beagles means a fair bit of hair in the back. I do crate mine when they are in the Jk which helps.

I to have found that rubber gloves or a rubber squeegee can pick up the hairs.

It’s a case of embrace the Beagle

As there is just Mrs Fen01 and the hound, we have a hammock across the back seat when he travels, so we don't have the dog hair issue, just sand and stuff.

Also helps we have a dog which does not really shed much hair and leather seats

Ha Ha!

I've got a small hatchback for work; and of all things, it's the smallest vehicle that houses the dogs usually!

Whoever invents Vehicle Fabric that repels Dog Hair, will make a lot of money I tell you!

?

Honestly I don't have this problem...

I tend to find more long hairs in the front passenger seat from Mrs Fen01....

Ha Ha!

I've leather seats too, although on this occasion, I housed the dogs in the boot area; where the sides have what I call, that "Fabric Velcro".  I'm going to B&Q later, for something totally unrelated..I'll have a nose too see what might help ?.

Blimey, that looks like some kind of nuclear/biological/chemical protection kit.

Let us know how it goes.

Ahem.  Quadratec informed me after I had placed the order that they were out of stock, and anticipate an early September arrival, and thats after I chased them for an update.  I may decide to cancel if the delay continues.

You say that Jim, but somehow the hairs STILL manage to get everywhere. Up until fairly recently, April in fact when we got the Compass ( dogs previously confined to the KJ and the YJ ) I had managed to keep the dogs out of the JK altogether and I’d still find dog hairs in it!

Blimey, you have him/her very well trained. If this was my two, they would now be laying on a bed of feathers.

FYI, boxing them up stops feathers spreading as well ?
